5 Reasons You (And Your Kids) Will Enjoy The Miniatures Museum of Taiwan
Here are the five reasons I think you will find the museum interesting and worth visiting.
Reason #1: See Fairy Tales Right In Front Of Your Eyes
If you like fairy tales such as “Jack in the Beanstalk”, “Alice in Wonderland”, and “Gulliver’s Travels”, you will enjoy the tiny worlds where everything looks just like in the stories.
You can see the castles, forests, and magical places, all made really small but in great details. It’s like stepping right into the pages of your favorite books and seeing them come to life!
Reason #2: Everyone Will Have Fun
When I usually take my son to a museum, he’s the one enjoying it while I just keep an eye on him. But at the Miniatures Museum of Taiwan, I had as much fun (maybe even more!) as he did.
We were both amazed by the incredible details in each display. From tiny houses to little streets, every piece was so well-made and fun to look at up close.
So, if you are looking for a museum where everyone can enjoy, this is the place to go!
Reason #3: Immerse Yourself In The Displays
Our favorite thing to do was to look closely into each “room box” and imagine ourselves being inside.
Envision yourself inside of the that beautiful kitchen, cooking dinner and eating with your family. Or pretend be a wealthy person sitting on the fancy green couch in the living room, sipping tea. Just let your imagination run wild!
Reason #4: Enjoy A Wide Variety Of Displays
Experience a fascinating blend of themes as you journey through the museum’s exhibits.
Some memorable displays include European-style dollhouses and castles, scenes from fairy tales, traditional Japanese streets and shops, and the wild wild west of the US…etc.
My son loved the “Jack and the Beanstalk” display, while I enjoyed exploring the interiors of the mansions. I won’t give too much away; you’ll have to see for yourself and discover your favorites!
Reason #5: DIY Workshops For Kids
Before your visit, be sure to check out the museum’s Facebook page to find out their class schedule. Guided by an instructor, your kids can learn to make tiny cakes and figurines using colorful clay.
